Continuing my previous experiments I decided to do a quick 100 Spiky Mushroom kills. The drops resulted in 10 iron potions, 2 hard spikes, and I didn't track the rest. Both drops are also slightly over the percentages listed on the wiki 8% and 1.5% respectively. This seems to confirm that the drops are actually better than the percentages on the wiki... at least sometimes.
Drops percentage changes...often and nobody cares to inform players about such changes. The best example is 4 Leaf Clover, which was supposed to be a rare drop. With no special effort I find minimum one clover daily. Players who regularly hunt for herbs, roots, fruits and other goods that can be found in Woodlands, find about 2-4 clovers daily. Naturally this situation affects item's price (average 4 Leaf Clover price in September 2011 was 700k GP, currently 400k GP, info based on ManaMarket archives). Other examples: pearls, terranite ore, rubies, jeans shorts, infantry helmets, leather gloves, yeti tears, zombie ears, rotten rags...all these itmes became very common.
